Sept 10 - Upward Facing Dog
(I wish my shoulders were in better alignment.)
This pose is wonderful and, I find, most often rushed. While going through Sun Salutations, I sometimes get the feeling of it being a race to get back to Downward Facing Dog. Though that might be because my chatarunga arms aren’t very strong and it takes me more time to descend onto my mat. When I practice on my own, I find myself pausing for quite some time in this pose. Especially at the beginning of my practice. Taking more than one deep breath and opening my heart to myself. To my practice. To being in the moment.
